2009-07-30 - THE COMIC-CON POST-GAME REPORT, PART II

The new Christopher Reeve Superman Cinemaquette features a simply breathtaking likeness of the actor.
Saturday morning's IDW ANGEL comics panel featured SPIKE writer Brian Lynch, actress and ANGEL writer Juliet Landau, and the revelation of writer Bill Willingham as the new writer of the main series, as well as the announcement of my upcoming HOLE IN THE WORLD miniseries, featuring art by Elena Casagrande, as seen on the screen above.
The place was crawling with Baronesses this year...
Brian Lynch and I sign comics at the IDW booth...
...and for a pretty good crowd, too.
Power Girl here looks like she stepped right off the page.
The henchmen were running in packs on the floor...
...as were the superheroes.
Batman appears to be having a rough time of it.
The Hasbro booth stayed steadily busy all week.
Pirates vs. barbarians. Where's DEADLIEST WARRIOR when you need them?
The 7-foot-tall Voltron at the Toynami booth turned a few heads.
A lesser man would have tackled this guy, taken the helmet and ran like hell.
Ghostbusters seemed to be everywhere this year, such as these new toys from Mattel.
Cheetara was the only Thundercat in attendance by my reckoning...
With the movie only weeks away, there wasn't as much GI JOE hype as you might think, with the exception being the Hasbro booth.
Naruto meets Naruto at the Toynami booth.
Always good to be back among my people...
This Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot stopped by the booth to pay his respects to our Great Mazinga.
Come back tomorrow for the final installment of our Comic-Con coverage!
